Expert advice and services

Over the last five years Arcos Consultancy has provided cost consultancy services to the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH). There have been in excess of 100 projects, with individual projects ranging from £150,000 to £5.5million. Arcos have carried out the feasibility studies, life cycle costing, produced the contract documents and carried out the valuations and final accounts for the majority of the projects that have been instigated by the Architectural team in the Building and Technical Services department of the Authority in that period. Some of the work has been carried out on an hourly basis to allow us to be part of the design team from conception through to completion and where appropriate we have tendered against other consultants to provide the full range of services on a consultant contract basis.

Being part of the project team Arcos have been able to give contract and cost advice throughout the design process, this linked with financial control during the construction phase has helped ensure that the projects are completed within budget constraints. Much of the work has been in the field of education but we have also provided cost advice on the refurbishment of Poplar Swimming Baths (Grade 2 listed), the repair of Bonner Bridge (Ancient Monument) and on various other municipal buildings and offices.
